Are you confused about traveling right now?
We all want the answer to be very soon, but as cases surge no one can really know for certain when it will be safe to travel again.
What feels safe to you may not feel safe to me, so naturally, this is a highly personal decision.
Things you should know and consider
A surge in Covid-19 cases has altered the landscape for traveling again and many countries have once more shut their borders and have strict quarantine rules in place. However even though we don’t have a definitive answer at this moment in time, some places are edging closer and closer to reopening the skies and roads.
Even though travel companies have upped their games and are doing their bit to ensure safe travel during the pandemic, travel is not likely to get back to normal for some time yet!
Thanks to air travel, the world has opened up, and there are some great places to visit. But the convenience of hopping on a plane and visiting some far off destination has made it easier for Covid-19 to spread. As a result, governments are often being extra cautious about reopening travel too soon.
Some places may open sooner than others!
But this will depend wholly on the country, state, and even the local even the communities.
It is the same for all of us, knowing when we can safely travel again is unfortunately a bit of a waiting game!
Some countries require a minimum 14-day self-quarantine for all arrivals. Therefore, when traveling abroad there is a good chance that you will need to disclose your travel plans, for example where you’re staying, and quarantining upon arrival.
So maybe this year a holiday closer to home would be an option worth considering? I mean just because you can’t jump on a plane and fly off on vacation it doesn’t mean you can’t get away! There are some LOVELY destinations for a nearer to home vacation.
In addition, business travel has a chance of recovering as well. You may finally be able to go back to business meetings away from your hometown. At times, apart from conferences you will also need to catch up on work while abroad, therefore you need to think of finding the right working space to do so. Coworking space makes the best solution to this, you will have a place to work and nurture your creativity.
There is still so much skepticism in this world right now due to the pandemic!
There are so many factors that influence travel, such as social distancing and whether this is viable or even feasible on a plane, the reliability of antibody tests, and if immunity does actually last.
What we know though for sure is that we all need to continue to adjust our daily habits until the infection risk dissipates and some types of travel are again permitted. Everyone ought to play their part in helping to flatten the curve and bring this pandemic under control, so taking closer to home vacation may be a good option at this time!
