One of our dreams is to make our apartments smarter so that your life is easier.

This is a dream we have been working hard on behind the scenes. Although we aren’t ready to make an official announcement yet, Finance & Commerce wrote an article about our work.

Imagine controlling your apartment from anywhere. Imagine it learning when you are not home to save on energy costs. Imagine using your voice to dim the lights or to be gradually woken up by your lights in the morning. Imagine unlocking the door remotely for your kids. These aren’t just dreams but rather a reality for us in our labs. In fact, we have a dedicated apartment for testing smart technologies.

One challenge with smart home technology is that the homeowner needs to install and maintain multiple pieces of equipment. This isn’t easy and really only technology enthusiasts are willing to invest the time to make it work. But with our apartments, we can install and maintain all the equipment for you. Then we provide one app for you to control your apartment. This makes smart home technology accessible for the rest of us.
